About me

About Me

My Story

After leaving my birthplace, Dakar, Senegal at age 9, not even in my wildest dreams could I have imagined the gargantuan adventure life had in store for me. One that would span three continents and take me halfway around the planet for decades, seemingly worlds away from the quaint and peaceful streets of my native country.

After living in France for the following 14 years of my life, the journey took me to California for what was supposed to be a year of discovery that somehow turned into 24 beautiful years.

For the longest time, I lived the American dream—working hard, starting from scratch, building a very successful business while also starting my family and exploring the US.

But life for me is anything but predictable or should I say, the adventure continued. So, against all odds and to the surprise of many (including myself to a certain degree), I found myself moving back to France a couple of years ago.
I have traded the beautiful hills of San Francisco, with its cable cars and Golden Gate Bridge, for the seemingly never-ending beauty and charm of the French Riviera.

But this move also brought me closer to where it all started my homeland of Senegal.

On my recent trips there, I realized how much I was longing to reconnect with my roots, my extended family, my childhood memories, and, most importantly, to give my children the opportunity to learn and grow closer to our culture.

So I visited an undeveloped area close to my family’s village. The emotions did the rest : I bought a plot of land near the ocean, south of Dakar, and decided I was going to build a small house that my kids and I, my family, and my friends could use as our African home base.

I have made my initial journey from Senegal to France, to the US, and now I am doing the return trip in the opposite order, with my kids in tow. Life is as beautiful as it is unpredictable.
But Villa Siga Fall is not just any house it embodies so much of who I am.
Back to me living the American dream adventure for a second.

While there, I started as an intern in the hardwood flooring industry, then became a valuable employee for a rapidly expanding flooring company in the San Francisco area, and finally graduated to opening my own business as a hardwood flooring specialist and consultant.

The beginning was challenging, to say the least, but my hard work and perseverance paid off. My business grew year after year, and I was twice recognized as an outstanding woman entrepreneur by the American National Hardwood Association in a male-dominated industry.

So to say that wood flooring and wood, in general, define me best professionally is an understatement.
Not to mention that I am also deeply passionate about it.

Where passion meets purpose

Starting a business is never just about making a profit; it’s about solving problems, pushing boundaries, and creating opportunities.

Whether in hardwood flooring, sustainable architecture, or consulting, my goal is to build something that lasts. Passion starts the journey; purpose makes it meaningful.

My Experience

From design to entrepreneurship, my journey has always been fueled by passion. But passion alone isn’t enough, it needs direction, impact, and meaning.
That’s why every project I take on is rooted in a deeper purpose: to create, to empower, and to leave a lasting legacy.

My Work

From material sourcing to design layout, building businesses to empowering communities, my journey has been defined by innovation, resilience, and impact.

Over the years, I have successfully led Floors by Fall Design, collaborated with Silicon Valley startups, launched Empower Global Women, and developed Villa Siga Fall, an eco-friendly housing initiative in Senegal.

Twice recognized by the American National Hardwood Association for my contributions as a woman entrepreneur in a male-dominated field, I continue to push boundaries whether in business, sustainability, or mentorship. Every achievement is not just a milestone, but a stepping stone toward a future where passion fuels purpose and innovation drives change.
