On my recent trips there, I realized how much I was longing to reconnect with my roots, my extended family, my childhood memories, and, most importantly, to give my children the opportunity to learn and grow closer to our culture.
So I visited an undeveloped area close to my family’s village. The emotions did the rest : I bought a plot of land near the ocean, south of Dakar, and decided I was going to build a small house that my kids and I, my family, and my friends could use as our African home base.
I have made my initial journey from Senegal to France, to the US, and now I am doing the return trip in the opposite order, with my kids in tow. Life is as beautiful as it is unpredictable.
But Villa Siga Fall is not just any house it embodies so much of who I am.
Back to me living the American dream adventure for a second.
While there, I started as an intern in the hardwood flooring industry, then became a valuable employee for a rapidly expanding flooring company in the San Francisco area, and finally graduated to opening my own business as a hardwood flooring specialist and consultant.
The beginning was challenging, to say the least, but my hard work and perseverance paid off. My business grew year after year, and I was twice recognized as an outstanding woman entrepreneur by the American National Hardwood Association in a male-dominated industry.
So to say that wood flooring and wood, in general, define me best professionally is an understatement.
Not to mention that I am also deeply passionate about it.

Graphic Design
My passion for creativity led me to my first job at the San Francisco Design Center, where I refined my artistic vision and deepened my understanding of visual design and branding. It was there that I unexpectedly discovered a new world—hardwood flooring design. What started as mere curiosity quickly turned into a true passion.
Hardwood Flooring Industry & Villa Siga Fall
I joined a hardwood flooring company in California, where I learned the intricacies of the trade under the mentorship of seasoned professionals. Over ten years, I mastered my craft, built a strong network of clients, and developed a reputation for excellence and customer-centric service. My dedication to quality and innovation helped me achieve remarkable milestones.
VILLA SIGA FALL
To improve the process and create jobs in Senegal, I called on my family in Dakar to help me master the many facets of
construction and to familiarize myself with the local laws. A great way to reconnect with them and get them involved in the project. Villa SIGAFALL will be (is) my Senegalese home. It will remind me that no matter where the rest of my life’s journey takes me, a big part of me will always be where it all began. But more than that, I hope it will be a place
to welcome all of my family and many friends from all over the world who would like to come and experience the Teranga (hospitality)
Senegalese hospitality.
Entrepreneurship & Consulting
Building upon a decade of experience in the hardwood flooring industry, I embarked on an entrepreneurial journey by founding Floors by Fall Design. This venture was driven by a commitment to deliver customized flooring solutions, comprehensive interior design services, and strategic consulting to a diverse clientele.
My journey also led me to explore another dimension of entrepreneurship mentoring and empowering women in business. With this mission in mind, I founded Empower Global Women, a platform dedicated to highlighting and supporting women entrepreneurs worldwide.
At the same time, I embarked on a deeply personal project: Villa Siga Fall, a sustainable wood-built home model in Senegal. This initiative combines innovative design, eco-conscious construction, and local economic development, aiming to introduce new building methods while creating employment opportunities.
From material sourcing to design layout, building businesses to empowering communities, my journey has been defined by innovation, resilience, and impact.
Over the years, I have successfully led Floors by Fall Design, collaborated with Silicon Valley startups, launched Empower Global Women, and developed Villa Siga Fall, an eco-friendly housing initiative in Senegal.
Twice recognized by the American National Hardwood Association for my contributions as a woman entrepreneur in a male-dominated field, I continue to push boundaries whether in business, sustainability, or mentorship. Every achievement is not just a milestone, but a stepping stone toward a future where passion fuels purpose and innovation drives change.
